Following the release of a public beta almost two months ago, Adobe have just announced immediate availability of the official release of Photoshop Lightroom 5, the company"s professional photo management and manipulation software.
The company said in a blog post that the final version of Lightroom 5 incorporates features from Lightroom 5 beta including an advanced “healing brush”, upright tool, smart previews, radial filter and slideshows that mix video and still images. It has also fixed more than 400 bugs and added in new features such as the ability for users to share photos using the Behance Publish Service, which Adobe acquired late last year.
Adobe last month announced its move away from Creative Suite to focus entirely on a new suite of Creative Cloud-only apps and services featuring Photoshop CC, InDesign CC, Illustrator CC, Dreamweaver CC, Premiere Pro CC, deep integration with Behance social features, desktop access to Typekit and more. Lightroom 5 is priced at $149 as a standalone purchase, with upgrading pricing of $79 available to current Lightroom users.
