"Having endured a very old-fashioned and clunky site for many years, we in the NTPF are delighted with our new website. Zesty brought a very professional approach to the whole process. Their workshops were well planned out, they listened to our opinions and they stuck to their project plan. The end result was a nice, clean, accessible design with a CMS that is easy to use. We are very happy with the whole product" – Eoin Darcy, Director of ICT

The Client
The NTPF is an independent public body, undertaking diverse roles within the Irish Health Care System. Their mission is to improve healthcare access through treatment, validation, and reporting.
The Brief
The NTPF sought to establish a centralised communication platform designed for an intuitive and fully accessible user experience. Key goals included embedding Power BI dashboards, providing essential resources for stakeholders, enabling seamless application and report integration, and ensuring the platform could adapt to future advancements.
What We Did
Collaborating closely with the NTPF team, we delivered a digital platform that prioritises accessibility, usability, and performance.
Taking a user-centred approach, we designed and built to meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards, ensuring the platform was fully compatible with screen readers and supported seamless keyboard navigation. The design also prioritises adherence to colour contrast ratio requirements, enhancing the accessibility.
Clear visual hierarchy, an intuitive structure, and robust search functionality ensure users can quickly access the information they need. Consistent branding enhances trust and professionalism, while scalable architecture supports future adaptability. Together, these features support a diverse audience and enhance the website’s role as an essential communication platform.
Built on the latest version of WordPress, the site offers technical compliance and flexibility. Its responsive design ensures seamless performance across devices, while secure elements such as SSL certificates and protected logins create a trustworthy environment.
We prioritise performance by delivering fast, efficient builds with clean markup, minimised JavaScript and SCSS, and optimised images, reducing file sizes and improving load speeds across devices.
At go-live, we ran Web Core Vitals for the site, and they highlighted early success with scores over 96/100 for Performance, Accessibility and Best Practices.
Since its launch in December 2024, the website has served as a vital hub for publishing critical resources, including National Waiting List Reports and governance protocols.
Through enhanced functionality, a robust CMS, and ongoing support, the redesigned site strengthens NTPF’s capacity to inform and engage stakeholders while upholding their commitment to transparency and operational excellence.
